KIM WOODARD OSTERHOLZER
of Birth at Home Midwifery services
Kim is a midwife and a published author who’s written several books surrounding pregnancy and her experience as a midwife in amish country. She has such a huge heart and a great respect for the birth process. She is patient, knowledgeable and respectful. She is brilliant to watch as she works with laboring families.
OF MOUNTAIN MIRACLES MIDWIFERY
Tiffany is so knowledgable and the woman you want by your side when you have your baby. She has tons of experience, is the Certified Nurse Midwife in Colorado Springs who also accepts insurance. I attended and photographed the home birth of her second baby and it was such an honor to witness this midwife giving birth to her own baby in her home.
of nurtured in joy
Sarah is such a great doula! She gives kind encouragement throughout labor and gentle hands-on support during contractions. She anticipates needs before you even know you have them. She always has a bag of “tools” to help support your needs. She is great at holding space for you and meeting you where YOU are at in your labor.
Amanda is incredibly passionate about the work that she does! She started as a doula and is so committed to helping women through their birthing experience that she is on her way to becoming a midwife! Amanda is great to have at your side, cheering you on through the obstacles to birthing your baby!
KRISTEN GOLDEN of the doula circle
Kristen is incredible. She thinks of everything. She gives such great hands-on support. She teaches prenatal yoga, I suspect not just for the pregnant mamas, but also so that she can withstand long squatting positions and stay flexible enough to contort her body into the myriad of positions needed to support you during your labor!
BEGINNINGS BIRTH CENTER
Beginnings Birth Center is the only freestanding birth center in Colorado Springs. It is one of a kind! There are several experienced midwives working here including the founder, Jolene Hamann, Amy Burgess, and Lizzi Brink. Birth centers are a great place to deliver to have the comforts of a home without the medical interventions of a hospital. They provide the midwifery model of care, which means monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle. Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support.
